Author: Apostle John, “the disciple whom Jesus loved” (13:23; 19:26; 20:2; 21:7, 20, 24).

Date: More recently, 50’s to A.D. 70 at latest.

Who is Jesus?

Ø Word of God (1:14)

Ø Lamb of God (1:29, 36)

Ø King of Israel (1:49)

Ø Savior of the World (4:42)

Ø My Lord and My God (20:28)

Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
